Voluntary Kardena Guarantee
Armbrüster Consulting GmbH provides a voluntary guarantee for certain Kardena products. This guarantee is in addition to your statutory rights in respect of defects and does not limit them.
Voluntary Guarantee from Armbrüster Consulting GmbH
Armbrüster Consulting GmbH, Marienstraße 5, 26180 Rastede, Germany (hereinafter the ‘Guarantor’) provides consumers with a voluntary guarantee on Kardena products purchased directly from Armbrüster Consulting GmbH:
- 24 months from delivery of the product to the original purchaser on the main device
- 6 months from delivery of the product to the original purchaser on the built-in or supplied battery
Note on your statutory rights:
Independently of this guarantee, you have statutory rights against the seller in respect of defects. Exercising these statutory rights is free of charge. These rights are neither limited nor replaced by the voluntary guarantee. Making a claim under the guarantee is not a precondition for asserting your statutory rights.
1. Scope and Eligibility
- The guarantee covers defects in materials and workmanship of the device or battery within the applicable guarantee period.
- The guarantee applies to consumers and to the original purchaser of the product concerned. Suitable proof of purchase may be required in order to assess a guarantee claim.
- The guarantee applies exclusively to Kardena products purchased directly from Armbrüster Consulting GmbH. This includes, in particular, purchases via the official Kardena online shop and via seller accounts on online marketplaces operated by Armbrüster Consulting GmbH.
- The guarantee applies only where Armbrüster Consulting GmbH acted as the seller of the product in the purchase concerned. This voluntary guarantee does not apply to products purchased from other retailers or sellers.
- The guarantee applies to such sales to consumers with a delivery address within the European Union, the European Economic Area, Switzerland or the United Kingdom.
2. Guarantee Service
Where a guarantee claim covered by this guarantee exists, the affected product or component will be repaired or replaced free of charge in accordance with these guarantee terms.
Depending on the nature of the defect, we will provide either:
- repair of the defective device or battery, or
- replacement with a technically equivalent or superior device or spare part.
Where a replacement is provided, the model, colour or product series may differ, provided that the replacement product is at least equivalent in terms of its essential functions.
This voluntary guarantee does not in itself give rise to any entitlement to a refund of the purchase price. Statutory claims against the seller, in particular in respect of a defect, remain unaffected.
Claims for damages under this voluntary guarantee, in particular for indirect damage, loss of use or loss of data, exist only where expressly provided for in these guarantee terms or where mandatory by law. Any liability mandatory by law, in particular in cases of intent, gross negligence or injury to life, body or health, remains unaffected.
As a rule, a guarantee service does not restart the original guarantee period, unless otherwise required by law.
3. Exclusions
The voluntary guarantee does not cover, in particular:
- normal wear and tear, such as scratches, cosmetic ageing or other normal signs of use
- a technically normal reduction in battery capacity due to use and age
- damage caused by improper use, failure to follow the user manual, drops, impacts or exposure to liquids beyond the protection rating specified for the product
- damage resulting from incorrect operation, an unsuitable power supply or unsuitable accessories
- damage caused by alterations, modifications or opening the device
- damage caused by improperly performed repairs or interference by third parties
- damage resulting from improper storage, inadequate care or failure to follow care instructions
- transport damage demonstrably caused by inadequate packaging when sending in a product
- faults attributable solely to changes to or outages of third-party services, mobile networks, operating systems or software not provided by the Guarantor
A reduction in battery capacity that is not technically normal may constitute a guarantee claim under the battery guarantee, provided it is attributable to a defect in materials or workmanship and no exclusion applies.
4. Accessories Not Covered by the Voluntary Guarantee
The voluntary Kardena guarantee does not apply to accessories and wearing parts purchased separately, in particular:
- Charging cables
- Straps
- ECG accessories
- Screen protectors
- Protective cases
Your statutory rights in respect of defects in these products remain fully unaffected.
5. How to Make a Guarantee Claim
- Get in touch: Before sending anything in, please report the possible guarantee claim to our customer service team by email at service@kardena.de.
- Describe the fault: Please provide your order number or other suitable proof of purchase, together with as precise a description of the fault as possible.
- Next steps: Our customer service team will then let you know how to proceed and whether the device needs to be sent in.
- Sending in: If the device needs to be sent in for inspection or for the guarantee service to be carried out, you will receive the necessary return information.
Please avoid sending in products without contacting us first. This makes it easier for us to identify and process your parcel.
6. Costs
- In the case of a valid guarantee claim, the Guarantor will bear the labour and material costs required to provide the guarantee service.
- Necessary standard shipping costs in connection with providing a valid guarantee service will be borne by the Guarantor in accordance with legal requirements.
- Additional costs for special shipping methods expressly requested by the customer, additional insurance or other non-essential extra services will only be covered if expressly agreed in advance.
The consumer's statutory claims against the seller, and the statutory rules on costs that apply to them, remain unaffected.
7. Statutory Right to Cancel
These guarantee terms govern the voluntary Kardena guarantee only. Any statutory right to cancel that applies to distance contracts remains unaffected.
Information on how to exercise your right to cancel, the applicable deadlines and returns can be found in our cancellation policy.
